What happens during the visit
A grooming plan built around comfort
Before starting, the preferred beard length, neckline, moustache shape and closeness of finish are agreed. The skin is checked visually for cuts, irritation and anything that makes shaving unsuitable that day. This is a grooming check, not a medical diagnosis.
Steam is always optional. It can be shortened or left out if heat feels uncomfortable, the skin is reactive, or the home setup makes a hot-towel route more appropriate. Where a close blade shave is unsuitable, a clean clipper finish may still be possible.
Hygiene and skin comfort
Clean equipment, fresh linens or towels and single-use blade items are used where relevant. Close shaving can still cause temporary redness, small nicks, razor irritation or ingrown hairs, especially on sensitive or tightly curled facial hair.
The service will not be carried out over open wounds, active skin infection, significant inflammation or an unexplained mark that needs medical assessment. If a facial skin concern is new, changing, bleeding or worrying, contact a GP rather than booking grooming over it.
