What threads can and cannot do
PDO threads may offer visible support for selected candidates. They are not a surgical facelift, cannot remove excess skin and do not give the same control or longevity as surgery.
- A full assessment is needed before the thread type, number and vectors can be quoted.
- Bruising, tenderness, swelling, puckering, asymmetry and temporary visibility or palpability can occur.
- Infection, thread extrusion, nerve or vessel injury and unwanted contour changes are among the risks that require proper discussion.
- The setting must support asepsis, lighting, sharps management, emergency planning and follow-up.
Why the price follows assessment
A responsible quote depends on the thread system, number, area, technique, sterile consumables, appointment setting and aftercare. A fixed headline price would hide the factors that determine the actual treatment.
Alternatives
Depending on the goal, dermal filler, Sculptra/PLLA, Radiesse/CaHA, Profhilo, skin boosters, microneedling, PRP/PRF or medical/surgical referral may make more sense.
