Assessment before treatment
Not every double chin is the same
A local contour treatment can only address the tissue it is designed for. Skin laxity, posture, profile structure and deeper fat are not interchangeable with a superficial pinchable pocket.
Local contouring is not weight loss
No treatment is sold as kilograms lost, a guaranteed measurement reduction or a substitute for overall weight management.
What the consultation considers
- Whether the fullness is superficial and suitable for a local treatment route.
- Skin quality and the possibility that reducing volume could make laxity more noticeable.
- Chin projection, jawline shape, previous filler and the wider facial profile.
- Medical history, medication, previous treatment, infection risk and realistic recovery time.
Possible next steps
A suitable product and conservative amount may be selected after assessment.
Response is reviewed before repeating treatment; course length cannot be promised from a photograph.
Skin quality, chin support or another route may be more relevant than reducing local volume.
Surgical or medical assessment may be more appropriate where the concern sits outside a non-surgical plan.
Recovery and limits
- Swelling, warmth, tenderness, bruising and temporary firmness can occur.
- Visible response varies and several sessions may be needed.
- Urgent or unexpected symptoms must be reported using the supplied aftercare contact.
- Results photography is added only with documented consent and consistent presentation.
