Chemical peel types and prices
Which peel may fit which goal?
BHA pathway
Salicylic acid
Considered for selected oily, congested, blackhead-prone or blemish-prone skin after checking sensitivity and inflammation.
Gentler AHA pathway
Lactic acid
Often discussed where gentle exfoliation, dullness, dryness and a hydration-focused finish are priorities.
AHA pathway
Glycolic acid
Considered for selected rough texture, dullness, congestion, fine surface lines and uneven-looking tone.
Separate consultation
TCA
A stronger pathway planned around skin type, treatment goal, preparation and expected recovery rather than used as a routine facial upgrade.
What happens at an appointment?
Medication, retinoids, active products, recent procedures, tanning, pigment history and upcoming sun or events are reviewed.
The acid, concentration and application plan are chosen for the skin and the intended depth.
The peel is applied and monitored according to its protocol. Tingling, warmth or stinging can occur.
Approved moisturising, sun protection and the safe timing of active skincare are explained before you leave.
Recovery, limitations and aftercare
- Redness, tightness, dryness, flaking or visible peeling vary by product, depth and skin response.
- Picking or scrubbing shedding skin can increase irritation, infection, pigment change and scarring risk.
- Darker skin tones and a history of post-inflammatory pigment change require careful selection and preparation.
- One peel cannot erase pores, scars, pigmentation or every line, and results are not guaranteed.
- Microneedling, a barrier-support facial, PDRN, PRP/PRF or referral may fit some goals better.
